Description
Small white glazed porcelain mask of Hannya (scorned woman) demon mask from Noh theatre or Kabuki (see Musume Dojoji for a famous Hannya demon play), with open fanged mouth, wide eyes and huge horns. Probably Arita, Japan, late 1800's, Meiji period.
